West MI clubs - Page 1

 Are there any training clubs left in W. Michigan?  I'm going to need one soon......

Where in West MI are you?

 I'm in Big Rapids.  About 45 minutes north of GR.

Lansing Schutzhund Club is a very good one, we have people that drive from Indianna border to come to our club.  Gus is a good teacher and the people in this club are so wonderful and helpful.  They busted their collective behinds to get me and my female ready for our first trial even though I was competing against their dogs.  They didn't care as long as everyone did well and had a fun time.  I know it is a ways away, I go to GR for shopping and bought a car there.  It is a good hour but well worth it.  Vicki Kudla is the contact person.  If you are interested, I can give you their numbers

I'll be looking for clubs that are close to me near the Kalamazoo, MI area, with in a half hour hopefully to 45 minutes.  Nothing that's going to cost me an arm and a leg either, lol.  Would like to start the new pup off right when I get him.  Thanks for any info you can give me : - }

SW, if you find out about any clubs can you please let me know? I am about 45 minutes from Kalamazoo. I would like to take 1-2 dog's if I could too.  I was training in Lansing with Gustavo for about 12 years give or take. The price's increased and got to expensive for me to train and the gas prices as well. I also wasn't too happy about driving 2 hours one way to get there either. Gustavo is a very good trainer, just can't afford him anymore.

MI GSD, you guys should start your own training group up there in that area ;) Looks like people would like one in that part of MI.

That's a great idea, but I don't have a clue how to get started and I've never done any of this type of stuff with my GSD's.  This will be a first.  Really excited about it, but need tons of help getting started etc.  Like I said, money is a issue right now, bills come first.  Hopefully by the time I am ready to start with the new pup things will be under control!!!!!
