I've finally stopped procrastinating, and I've got everything ready to send in my girl's AKC registration. I have her bescheinigung here, but I'm just wondering whether I'll need to send the original to the AKC or if a copy is enough.  I don't particularly want to lose it since it's an expensive piece of paper - but I don't want my application to get rejected either...I just wanted to check with those who have done it before!
Also, do I need to send her original pink papers or is a copy enough?

Thanks :)

I was told a good copy would do.    I have yet to send mine in so I'm just guessing.  we'll see.

Go to Kinkos spend the extra money and have a color copy made

Ok, does that apply to the pink papers too?  That'd be a relief since I also need to send her x-rays to Germany for the "a" stamp and need to send her pink papers with them - and I doubt either AKC or the hip/elbow results will be a quick turnaround...

Just got two back on imported GSDs. Sent in a copy of both and kept the originals. Sent in black and white copies.

Yes, copies work fine.  I sent in copies for my female import and everything went through fine.  I was told to never send in originals of your paperwork.  I think that the AKC is mainly concerned with the check you send and won't likely reject it.
