So far it looks like about 39 GSD's have been DNA tested for the DM gene; 33 of these results are reported on the OFA website. 4 are carriers, 3 at risk, 26 as free of the gene. I assume the 6 that are not yet reported are either carriers or at risks since the normals automatically go on the website report.
It's early, but I think these results are very encouraging since they seem to demonstrate that there may be more clear dogs in the breed than originally thought. Of course, the more dogs that are tested, the more accurate the statistics.

I ordered the kits for two of my dogs and as soon as I get a moment, I will collect and send in the DNA. We'll see.............
