Dawn G. Bonome

by Dawn G. Bonome on 17 October 2008 - 23:10

I have an 11 year old German Shepherd mix, Wendi, who has non operable mouth cancer that is very fast growing. This was not here 6 months ago, at her yearly checkup. I took her in because I saw swelling on the left side of her mouth and figured,  some teeth needed to be pulled. NOT! This Cancer is not seen very often. In fact my Vet has only seen this 2 other times.

This is going to be hard on my 10 year old German Shepherd, Lexie as when she was a pup, Wendi was 14 months old and this is Lexie's best buddy. There is also Laser who is 22 months old, and he  worships the ground Wendi walks on, and respects her the most!

Please keep her in your prayers, and let her know to tell me that she has to go to Heaven to be of help there.

This is killing me. Right now she is still eating, and I am grinding her food up so she is eating a soupy mush. The Vet told me when the time comes, Wendi will let me know.

Thank you my German Shepherd Friends from all over the world.

Best Regards!

Dawn Bonome

I am so very sorry - - - -

I believe that, rather than going to the Rainbow Bridge, our beloved companions go straight on to their reward when it is their time -- they are so much better and nobler than we are -- WE are the ones who wait for them at the bridge, if our time comes first!

Hugs and prayers ----

Wendi - and you - will be in our prayers: at some time or another we have all been in the place you are now, and we understand the pain. No matter how long our guys live it is never long enough, and losing them never gets any easier....... when the time comes (and yes, you will know when that is) my Blue and Kira will be waiting for her at the Bridge......

I am so sorry.

Susan.

God bless you and your Wendi.

I think all of us here understand your heartbreak - it HURTS.

All I can say is God bless you and know that you will do the right thing because Wendi is counting on you to not let her live in pain.  You've protected her all these years.  Now you must protect her one last time.

{{{{{HUGS}}}} to you both.

Thank you for all of your prayers and comments. The Vet will be calling me every week to check on Wendi. My Vet does not know how long, but she thinks maybe a month or a little longer.
