breed improvement, stop all the back stabbing, be honest and fair when judging, if you have something to say about some one say it to them, and above all always remember that we are all the future of this wonderful breed.IMO this would go a long way to improving this breed along with the health tests already mentioned. jim h

Hi Beepy, My MP replied by letter today, his letter says, "Thank you for contacting me about a new 2 tier registration system plan for breeding German Shepherd Dogs and all other KC registered breeds.  I understand the importance of breeding healthy dogs and to stop the unnecessary suffering of many dogs and their owners.

I have contacted the Kennel Club and have informed them of Mr David Payne's proposal and asked them to review the proposal and help solve this issue.  I will contact you again with any further details."

Let's hope the KC get lots of "contact" from lots of MPs about this.

missbeeb: Be sure your correspondence with your MP is very valuable for our proposals and our breeds health. The KC cannot ignore an MP communication. I hope more people do as you have done.  Thank you, David

David - I have forwarded the proposal to our MP, who apparently has been in discussions with the Secretary of Rural Affairs.  I understand there is a reply coming from said secretary and I am looking forward to receiving it.

I have also passed the proposals on to some friends who are in other breeds and they all feel it could be adapted to suit their particular health issues etc.
