I was speaking with a sales rep for Purina. Does anyone feed or have any knowledge about Purina HI PRO, 27% protein, 15 % fat?  Pros and cons would be appreciated.

UGH!!!

Made to SELL, NOT to feed!

You're dog would be just about as well off eating the bag it came in.

CRAP   AND MORE CRAP

CORN IS FOR HOGS,,,,NOT FOR DOGS

GERMAN SHEPHERD OWNERS NEED TO LEARN TO READ LABELS..FIRST THREE INGREDIENTS IS 79% OF WHAT YOU ARE FEEDING AND TALKING TO PURINA IS LIKE TALKING TO HUSEIN.....THERE WERE WEAPONS IN IRAQ  HE HIDE THEM IN IRAN AND BORDERING COUNTRIES BEFORE WE GOT THERE...

PURINA AND ALL THE OTHERS LIE    TO YOU   THEY ARE IN THE MARKET TO SELL YOU THE SAWDUST IN THE BAG  ......PROFIT AND NOT FOR A GERMAN SHEPHERD...

A GERMAN HAS A VERY DELICATE DIGESTION TRACT    IM SURPRISED YOU DONT HAVE HOT SPOTS,  HAIR MISSING AND NO TELLING WHAT ELSE WILL EVIDENTUALLY OVER THREE TO SIX YEARS SHOW UP  .

IT ISNT ALWAYS RIGHT NOW TO SHOW....ALSO CONTAINS   A CHEMICAL  MENADIONE  VIT K   ACTIVITY   A KNOWN HARMFUL CHEMICAL  NOT A NATURAL VIT...AND FDA WOULDNT PASS IT FOR HUMAN USE SO WHY DO YOU PUT IT IN YOUR DOG.........??????EDUCATE YOURSELF TODAY

IM GLAD YOU ASK....READ ALL THE THREADS FOR THE LAST YEAR ON THIS SITE ABOUT FOOD AND WHO FEEDS WHAT    BREEDERS THAT AT IN THE KNOW  FEED RAW AND CERTAIN KIBBLES....FOR CONVIENCE AND WELFARE ......NOT ALWAYS CAN YOU CARRY RAW WITH YOU ...SO MAKE SURE YOU ARE FEEDING SOMETHING THAT BENEFITS YOUR PET...NOT SCIENCE DIET EITHER   THAT IS A BAG OF STICKS AND DIRT AND ROCKS THEY FOUND OUT IN THE DESERT   THREW A FEW DEAD ANIMALS IN AND COOKED IT AND SOLD IT THRU THE VETS AND TOLD YOU THAT IT IS THE BEST RECOMMENDED BY VETS...MOST VETS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT NUTRITION....

BTW   I AM NOT YELLING    WITH CAPS...MY NECK IS KILLING ME TODAY AND IT IS EASIER ON ME TO TYPE WITH CAPS.......NO PUNCT, AND IT SHOWS EASIER FOR ME TO SEE......

NO RED DYE EITHER IN FOODS....PURINA USES RED DYE TO  MAKE PRETTY LITTLE HEARTS IN THEIR FOOD....AND THE ONE FOOD THEY MAKE IS LIKE RUBBER  THE ONE WITH THE VEGGIES DRIED UP AND BARBQUED IN THEM....FAKE VEGGIES...

I think it also has red , blue and yellow dye in it....the other bags of Purina do contain dyes....why put another chemical in your dogs liver , pancreas or stomach.??

And also  Purina makes Sams   Exceed lamb and rice    and Exceed Chicken and Rice    so   your dog food is not what it is hopped up to be:   by their Exceptional standard by Sams Club.....BUll corn????

You can buy a bag of Purina at Wal mart cheaper than Sams Exceed and get pretty little red hearts in it....just Like all of got a few months ago in our bags of Exceed......and you claim Purina knows what they are doing......they know how to lie..and mis represent themselves....

Actually, corn is not even good for hogs.

And all the corn going into beef cattle is causing illness in both the cattle and the people who eat them.

Keep away from corn in your dog food -- whether or not you eat your dogs.

by moose88 on 08 October 2007 - 16:10

how does bil jac say it? "because dogs are meant to eat meat". If you are going to feed purina, at least choose the pro plan.

I can't imagine how huge the piles would be if my dog ate that crap! If the poop is bigger than the food that goes in, you know it is garbage. Not getting digested or utilized for health, what is the purpose for feeding again? How do they even call it dog food? We as humans can't even digest corn.

I feel sorry and total disgust that the dogs I grew up with as a child had to survive on this junk. Thank God I know better now.
