What ever happened Carolyn, did you get your papers or a refund?

by candis on 21 January 2009 - 04:01

Wow, how insane or what! I personally do not wish to get involved what so ever. Although, the easiest solution to the problem is for the sellor to give up what she owes let it be papers, vet records and or money. If your having financial issues then make a offer to refund in a payment plan. By the looks of things the sellor is already in deep doo do so it would be in her best interest to pay the person off let them keep the dog and LEARN NOT TO DO THIS AGAIN! Case solved!

Hi Pharaoh, I actually did get his SV papers from his previous owner that Sarah Fox was supposedly making payments to for Uran, but never finished paying him off.  She was so very kind and felt sorry for my situation, and gave me his papers, which I in turn have sent to AKC and he is now AKC registered, he is now up to a healthy 95#, very happy and is an excellent house dog.  I've had to repeat all the vet tests I already sent money to Sarah to have done, i.e. hip x-rays, BC test, semen eval, etc,  since she NEVER did send me any vet records at all, even though all through the posts here she claims she has "medical records" she can prove.  Well never got any!!  So she took me for the extra $1200 I paid her for his papers and vet records, plus she was supposed to send me half of his shipping costs back, which she never did that either. It was almost $700 just to have him shipped, we were supposed to split it.  I have ALL our e-mail correspondence copied and in a file at home, so can prove my point to anyone any time.  But I can sleep easy at night, knowing he's in a MUCH better home, being loved and well cared for, like he deserves.  We are attending an obedience class now, and he's doing quite well, but it is OBVIOUS to everyone, especially the two trainers, that he has been very mistreated, cowers when someone raises their voice, and looks at you with terror in his eyes at corrections, even though very mild.  Someone in this dog's past has really beaten the shit out of him, and this is everyone at the training club's opinion, NOT MINE!!  What a shame to treat such a sweet and loving dog like that,  but again, he knows he's loved now, and is happy and playful at home.  Thanks for asking about us!!  I hope and pray USIMPORTS/SARAH FOX  gets what she deserves,  and hope I don't run across her some day, after all,  IT'S A SMALL DOG WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW-  I find it humerous that Urans picture is on USIMPORTS avitar!!  He is now also on mine, with my old spayed bitch.  She needs to remove him off hers, as he's not her dog anymore.

Carolyn,

I am so glad that Uran got to stay with you in his happy home and that you got his papers.  There are so many stories where people get ripped off and are never able to get their dog registered.

It seems that both you and the original owner got ripped off.

Best wishes for Uran and his continued happy life,

Michele

Thanks Michelle, I'm really glad too, because he really is one super dog.  The previous owner was also ripped off by her a bunch of money,  but is at least glad he's in a good home now.  And you know, Sarah had the AUDACITY to send me an e-mail about a week ago CONGRATULATING me on getting her AKC papers!!!  When she's the one that ripped me off $1000+ for them!   WHAT NERVE!!  I sure love your big black dogs, BTW.

CMills,

What an ordeal for both you and the dog!!!  We didn't go through anything like you did but our first GSD had obviously been abused because she too was terribly underweight when we got her.  She also cowered and cried if you corrected her.  The best thing we did for her was enter her in an agility training class.  We did not compete as that was not our intention but you could see her gaining confidence with each obstacle she conquered.  By the time the 10 weeks was up, her head & tail were up and she walked proud.  Best thing we ever did for her other than buying her away from that kennel.  Funny, we went there to put a down payment on a litter yet to be born as we wanted a puppy.  They had her on consignment and I fell in love with her at 18 months and she went home with us that day.  She's gone over that rainbow bridge now and miss her like crazy.  Never regretted our decision.

Sorry for losing your friend Deb. Funny you say that about the agility class, I've started Uran in a rally obedience class the first of this month, and we are working together on his issues.  He is outgoing and social, but you can tell someone really corrected him very harshly by his behaviors when I even give him a gentle correction, almost like he's saying "Please don't beat the shit out of me"!  He has terror in his eyes, it breaks my heart to see such a sweet, gentle dog willing to work hard for you to be treated in such a way.  That was another thing, he came to us SUPPOSEDLY Sch. 1-ready, yeah right!!  Another big lie told to me by USIMPORTS.  He barely even knows basic OB commands.  But it doesn't matter to me, we love him unconditionally anyway, and will train him for what we want him to do in a slow, kind way, like he deserved.
