I use vertex for my "working" - showline female. I get it from Halmark k9 http://www.hallmarkk9.com/K9_Nutrition.aspx.
I am interested in the supplements mentioned above that are given after/during training in the heat. Molly crashes in the heat -does not have alot of stamina. Notice she can not hang in there as well as the "working line" dogs. She needs more stamina. She will swim all day - never gives up but after chasing the helper around a few times she wants to run back to her crate for a nap!
Any ideas on what I can give her other than water while at training and immediately after to help ?

I would highly recommend Power Boost. It was developed exactly for what you describe in your dog. We first developed the product in 1994 as Power CHow and it's been in every Iditarod since 2000 as well as Vertex. Power Boost is really good if you don't really want to supplement your feed but want a quick recovery product during work. Check with Jim Hill at Hallmark K9 or any other dealer. Ask Erik Eisenberg the won the nationals last year what he thinks of our products. :)

I'll throw my 2 cents in
The top 3 placements, Deb Zappia, Ron Fox and Frank Phillips, at this years Schutzhund 3 HOT Chamionship all use K9 Super Fuel and K9 GoDog during events and training. A BIG congrats to them for great performances!!

I to have used Vertex and Show Stopper. I first used Vertex, and I loved the product. Then I switched to Show Stopper, and I was really pleased with the product and the price was great. (when you feed a bunch every penny helps)
Now that the Show Stopper has gone up in price, I am going back to the Vertex, as it costs about the same and for working dogs the Vertex is probably a better supplement.
I have never used K9 Super Fuel. It would be nice to try, but I hate to spend the money on a month or two worth for all mine to see if it would be as good as Vertex. So I will stick with the Vertex.

Will do. All 3 are fine people as well as trainers. Frank is judging our trial in a few weeks. Maybe I can convert him? :-)

The one really nice thing that I loved about the Super Fuel is that it made my dogs recover really fast after their work out. I would mix some in their water and they seemed to cool down faster that if they didnt have anything.

Well I tried my dogs on the Vertex and none of them did good on it....my dogs dont care for the taste of it. Also I did not notice any change in them at all. The only thing I noticed was that there coat got real dry and they started shedding really bad. They also got itchy on it. This was the only change in their diets and they were doing great before I started them on it. Since I have stopped using it their coats are getting better now and they have stopped itching. The other thing I did not like was I emailed the company, Alpha Nutrition, several times right after I purchased the Vertex saying that I wasnt happy with the product and wanted to return it. The "convenuntly" waited to answer my several emails for 2.5 months. Then told me it had been to long so I couldnt return it. I told the guy that I have emailed several times. He told me that maybe it went to the spam file in the email. Very poor customer service in my book!!!!
So I will be going back to the SuperFuel and also the ShowStopper. My dogs did great on it and they loved the taste. The one thing I really like about the ShowStopper is that my females kept a nice coat all year round....even when they come in season. They dont blow their coats like they do when they are not on it. I like the mix the SuperFuel in the water after the dogs work. They recover quicker when I mix it in their water compaired to when I dont.

I use Vertex on all my dogs. I LOVE it. I've tried everything and I kept on coming back. Every pup, every dog I've sold in the last 2 years has been weaned with Structure and put on Vertex while it was with me. Most continue the way of nutrition once they leave my place.
I use POWER BOOST also. Love it. Recovery rate 1/2 of what my dogs normally would be. It's been a miracle for my workingline males. Also was great for my SAR dog.
If it wasn't for Vertex, my finicky fellas wouldn't eat.
The people I've recommended it too who have dogs that are SLOW TO EAT regardless of what they've tried took a few meals and now they can't get enough of the Vertex, won't touch their food without it.
The only nose I've ever had turned by a CPN product was to STRUCTURE and by a finicky female who LOVES Vertex but during/afterwhelping I provide STRUCTURE. She knows she can get what she wants but hey, she eats it anyway, she just gives me that death stare.
So for the Taste and My dogs liking Vertex 5 out of 5 Stars.
Next...
Injury. Before I tried Vertex (recommended by 2 other breeders who sent me home with a 2lb container a few years ago) I couldn't seem to get my male to recovery from a severe muscle injury. I kept the Vertex on my table and thought RIGHT... Missing Link or a few of the other products mentioned her that I tried should do the trick... and NO... 4 months later still limping, still out of work and I was debating if he was worse than before. Even crated dog was a wild child.
Sure enough I decided to TRY that VERTEX STUFF... 9 days later... my dog was 75% back and in 14 days we were working again.
Not only that the muscle he put on was wild! My skinny boy turned into a hair sable hulk!
So for me... Vertex on Injury and now Injury prevention 5 out of 5 stars for repair and prevention.
I've never had a DULL coat day. If I did, I'd try the COAT BOOST, but hadn't needed it. Even my OUT OF COAT in heat females still look great.
I know it works. Friend had a dog come back from Europe... Limping... since he's been on Vertex, no prob. She says, I need to get more of that! Darn right! He eats it too!
Just my 2 Cents. But really, I go through my list of necessities with new clients and old clients and this is ON that list 100% of the time.

Well now that my dogs have been off of the Vertex for almost a month they are looking alot better. Their coats have returned to the nice glossy look they had. Like I mentioned above they all got itchy on the Vertex. Even my two females who have ALWAYS had very nice coat condition got dry coats. They also hated the taste. The only reason I tried the Vertex was that I got it at a good price. I learned my lesson...hehe. I had ordered it from Alpha Nutrition.
I will be getting more ShowStopper and Super Fuel for them. I cant say enough good things about the Show Stopper and the Super Fuel. Also I get it from K9power.com and this company is the nicest to deal with. They have great customer service and the prices are great.
