Point of clarification please: Is the working side dominated by GIRLS or by actual females?

If you are a gentleman you do not say females that denotes possibly a lot of old ladies, i prefer to call them all Girls. i think it is a being a little more of a gentleman

Missbeeb,
My apologies, I do get confused. What is it with the Brits and all those "bee" names? Missbeeb, Beetree, Brady Bee.... Does the "bee" denote something that we Yanks just aren't getting?
I told you, the Harry Potter books opened my eyes to the fact that I could go to England, as an American native English-speaker, and not understand a diddly half the time!
The working side is dominated by men, and predominantly populated with women.

LOL... I think beetree is from your neck of the woods.
Does it have a meaning? I don't think so... my last bitch was Missbeeb, but I agree there are some odd words. You once mentioned, "jumper"... how about, "fag" (cigarette), knickers, trousers (pants).

Those words I at least understood from old movies and TV. Ooops, but I did think that "knickers" ( in a twist) were underwear!!

Mystere, just to clarify, I am in NEW England, not the UK.
And just FYI the "Bee" in my name comes from my real name, Deborah, which means "bee" in Hebrew. And when I first went online in the mid 90's, I was reading quite a lot of Winnie the Poo books, as my first born was quite young. I'm a closet treehugger, too, so I thought it fit. I get real ticked off if I have to add a number or something to register at other sites, because I have had the name for so long! I think I own it, lol!
I have a British neighbor, and it is true, sometimes she says stuff and I haven't a clue what she's talking about. For instance, it caused quite a bit of confusion when she kept talking about her "garden" and all I could see was a "yard"! I have a large organic vegetable garden and kept looking for hers, so I started thinking she was drinking way too much wine!
I've been to London once, and ran into a group of Cockney kids, and they started talking in rhyming slang, which makes it even easier for us to be confused about speaking the same language.
