Go while she's in court...LOL

by SitasMom on 02 February 2009 - 18:02

Go to the news departments, get the whole thing on the evening news.
Go to the news paper, get photos of the way in wich the dogs are stacked
Go to the district attny, tell them that if you don't get help, it will be in the media.

Does this person live in a city or just county, find out if its a registered kennel, and what the laws are regarding kennels

Yes keep the pressure on her while she's already in trouble for stealing the pom. She may throw in the towel to avoid more problems.Print those flyer's.Put them up where she can see them. Only print the truth. Keep at her. Be the beast she fears most .Exposure !!

I understand what your saying Moon, I have run into some serious nut cases as well. This is one of the reasons I no longer breed and or offer training to the public. Everyone has a way to cause trouble for no reason. Thus I work and train my personal dogs if I wish to buy a dog I make sure I have all the funds required and that dog goes no where. Well unless I die or something.. So what I'm saying is people have a way of saying one thing and doing another.. Thus I trust NO ONE! JMPO

There are many things you can do LEGALLY to make this woman WANT to give your dog back. Take pictures of her house when you know she is home. Don't go on her property, but take pictures from the road or other public access where she can see you. She'll wonder what the hell you are doing. A video camera would be even better. If she asks what you are doing, tell her you are taking the pictures/video to the media along with proof she has your dog. I've never had my dog stolen, but it did help me get my money back once. My ex is a mechanic and I know a few good stories of what he did to get his money back from people that owed him money....no courts and all legal. May not work with this nut job but worth a try.

I agree.......TRUST NO ONE. Someday I'll tell everyone how I spent my summer. Never never never loan someone the money you have set aside to pay your property taxes so their car won't be repossessed. I did what I had to and got my money back but never again.

A wise choice, trust no one.

Only one out of ten people are worth even knowing much less trusting.

Leave the fools and idiots to their own because it will cost you in the end to be involved with them, one way or another.

Now days you can try to help someone only to have them sue you because of it.

I've lost my faith in mankind for the most part.  There are still some who are worth the effort but their numbers are small.

Anyway I'm gonna let go now and try to find something positive to do.

Good luck sperna.

We all start off right when caring for other's the tough thing is when they take advantage of that good heart. I have learned the hard way and hate the fact I have to say no! Personally I hate that word but when it comes to the safety of your pets, children and of course financies.. Its gona be no all day long!

I think ShellyStrohl's advice is the best, so I would do that.

And/or I'd take the advice of going to small claims.  Get a judgment.  Tell the judge you don't want money you want the dog.  You'll get her.

You'll be doing things legally.  Remember, just the actual fact that you filed something in small claims may very well cause her to turn the dog over pronto so that the legal world does not become "officially" aware of her.

A word of caution about going to the media.  Not saying don't do it, but am saying that be prepared for the bright tv lights to be turned on you yourself as well.  IOW, if you keep dogs in crates, not even "two high," if you have multiple dogs, they will be down on you, and while they're looking for dirt on her it will only be gravy if they can find dirt on you.  NOT saying there is, just sayin' - they will try to find something.  They'll talk to your neighbors about what kind of person you are, do your dogs ever bark, etc.
