Added health issues for pedigree's - Page 2

Good to see you,  hope your doing well.

I think this idea would benefit the breed more than anything else currently in use.
If only breeders will submit the data.
Its something thats kept me wondering about bloodlines for years.

So this would show diseases that a particular dog has? It would be an asset to dog buyers - but would a breeder or for that matter a dog owner really want to put that on his/her dog's pedigree for all to see?

All the other posts seem to be in favor of it - and I have no problem - I just don't see a owner putting that on their dog's pedigree.   Maybe I am misunderstanding its function.

German Shepherd Dogs entered upon this database must comply with their country's breed standard, or be the progeny of a breeding of 2 German Shepherd Dogs, both of which comply with the breed standard.* This registry will house information pertaining to German Shepherd Dogs, both alive and deceased. You may only post information about a dog you own!

This Registry has been created in an attempt to gather comprehensive health information which will enable breeders to make more informed breeding choices and to avoid doubling up on health issues.

Not being funny, I've had two dogs murdered over the last twenty years.

Oli thank you for all that you do for us and our dogs.

If I could ask for something it would be the Elbow rating kinda like the hips. More and more of us are testing them and no where to put it.
