Superdoggsd,

You're right!  I am brand new on here.  I came here to look for information on the German Shepherd breed and
finally saw a topic that I was comfortable responding to.  I have 2 dogs from PPK.  Our experience with this kennel has been  very positive!  I don't know who may have pm'd you with negative comments but we have been blessed the day we found our puppies from them.

My first impression of your post was that someone was sincerely seeking information on where to find quality dogs for their family. I offered to share my experience  with this kennel  and the love of  my life, my 2 puppies. After reading your comments, I am now convinced  that your comments are simply  a nasty back door attack on a reputable kennel. I have to wonder  why you have so little to do with your time.

Superdoggsd,

I got my first gsd from ppkshepherds 13 years ago.  She died last year and my regret to this day is I had her spay.  We couldn't take her anywhere with people (young and old) commenting on her beauty and temperment.  When she passed I called ppkshepherds and after we both remembered the good times with her I asked for a pup from the next available litter.  Our gorgeous baby (who we relied on the breeder to select) was shipped to Arizona in February.  She is being trained for hospital therapy and our German trainer said don't even think about NOT breeding this dog.  He calls/e-mails us weekly to monitor progress and is very pleased with her demeanor, ability to learn and desire to please.

I've got to believe the bad reports you have recieved are from people the kennel turned away; they don't just sell dogs, they place them in good homes.  Perhaps you should consider a cat.

There are some good kennels in New England but none I know of have puppies available right now. If you want a puppy for AKC show or events or as a family dog, I suggest you check out the board at the German Shepherd Dog Club of America (www.GSDCA.org). They have a section on buying a puppy and breeders ads.

If you are looking for a dog for schutzhund, that's another story.

I always wonder about people who join just to post something about a kennel ...

Seems to me that the only negatives about ppk are showing up on your pm box only. With all this info your getting on your pm box, you should have little problem finding the right dog for yourself , or maybe you should try a cat.

There is something "odd" about this thread.....doesn't "feel" right to me.  Superdoggsd, I would look elsewhere if I were you.

Sorry, it is surely going to take a while for me to figure this place out but this is where I meant to post my questions.

I am also  curious about info on www.ppkgermanshepherds and while responding please share any information or experiences on:
www.wilhendorf.us, www.haushutfeld.com Vom Galeid Haus www.germanshepherdpuppies.us and www.vonkuehnhaus.com
These seem to be the larger breeders in New England and are noted in the GSDCA-WDA German Shepherd Dog Magazine. We are planning our search for a pup to get out and show as a family and will be making plans to visit some of these kennels. Any information would be appreciated private is cool not looking to start any trouble. Thanks in advance.

I wanted to thank everyone for their recommendations and references. I did want to return to this topic to tell you that I did NOT receive any negative PMs on any of the kennels. i don't know how superdogGSD would have received any but I did not. I would have to agree that this was a very sad attempt to discredit a kennel because of a personal ax to grind. Shame on you superdogGSD.
