If your boy is 6 months old, he's teething now, right? Their ears sometimes go into lots of funny positions when they teethe. He'd probably appreciate a good, raw bison or beef shin bone to chew or a Kong. Chewing helps with teething and strengthens ear muscles too. I've had pups ears be up at 8 weeks and never go down but I've also had some "late bloomers" whose ears didn't stay up until they were over 7 months old. I was so anxious about my latest boy's ears I did tape at 7 months. I think he was so embarrassed by the pink rollers he kept his ears up after only a couple of days of taping. I suspect I needn't have bothered, since his ears went up so easily with just a little encouragement. He was a late developer and it sounds like your boy is too. Since your boy's ears are apparently at the "teepee" stage, if I read right, I wouldn't worry about them. They will likely come up when he's done teething.
