Rebecca Your problem is finding a breeder that really knows the combanations and what they can give. There are many many ddr breeders today.and none know the bloodlines and how to use them. We have people just selling puppies. Most people do not know about the east german dogs so it is very easy to tell the buyer anything because they do not know themselves. DDR SDG.

Rebecca, My bad then if he is selling them for $1,000. I have seen his ads on k9stud for $2,000 per pup out of his male Wyatt. DDR is sooo right on what was said about Sven, etc, as well as there are so many out there. Just take your time and do your research on the bloodlines as well as the breeder's and you will make the right choice. You could look at www.sudhafen.com (I think that's his link) he is selling 3 of his pups for $500 they are import. He is in the process of moving, so he needs to find them a home fast. Good luck on your future pup :-)

First thing that catches my eye- Untitled Mother born Aug. '07, already has a litter on the ground, born Jan '08-- when mom was only 17 mos. old... (UH OH!) No way she could be fully mature at that time, let alone have hips/elbows OFA certified for that litter, and she is pregnant again in the picture on this dB.
2nd Observation- Father untitled to Sch 1, himself out of an untitled mother. Father well under age two at time of this mating IF age on this thread is accurate: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/101161.html, but age listed differently in this ad: http://www.k9stud.com/StudDog/GermanShepherd1059.aspx. Either way, he already has a litter on the ground listed on this dB.
IMO the pups from this breeding are pet quality, maximum worth about $600... just another "breeder" breeding the crap out of young dogs with little to recommend them, trying to sell them for way too much money. Sorry.

I also don't like the amount of linebreeding, but the dam does help make up for it.
The dam being young would not put me off as accidents do happen, however I would want proof that her hips are normal. Any age dog can have their hips X-rayed. It doesn't cost that much, so I would assume they'd at least have had her X-rayed before breeding her. That would be something to check into with the breeder. JMHO
If the stud dog is proven to throw numerous faults, I would also be concerned about that. Why buy into health issues? Maybe your pup will be fine, but it WILL have the ability to pass on these traits given by the sire. Once again, JMHO
The sire, is he in training? Are they working on getting him titled? No title would not bother me, so long as he is currently in training. I will go ahead and throw in another JMHO disclaimer here, LOL.
