Please, please delete this post - if this is the kind of feedback given by members of this forum. I am shocked and a shamed to be associated by people that obviously have personal agenda's rather than the future of the breed.

Missbeeb I am not behind but maybe a little in front of you, it is now apparent that there is a witch-hunt on videx that is your issue and not mine. My concern is the future of the breed and we should be all concentrating on the health and welfare of the GSD.

To both you missbeb and funky munky BUMP OFF because it has no meaning or function within the problems the GSD is currently being associated with.

Agian i quote "I find this whole posting unbelievable in a time where the GSD should be pulling together. With the recent Pedigree exposed programme shown on the BBC concerning the GSD, I would suggest our time would be better spent discussing a very serious situation, which will affect our breed in the long term."

Sorry to hear you are disapointed, but i suppose 95% of posts at the moment are to do with the problems in the gsd?No witch hunt, and had the posts not been deleted you would see that. But no problem OLI the site owner has stated he is looking into THE MIISING POSTS AND THREADS. Once that is stopped you will see HONESTY? there is no witch hunt. You could however pass by this thread, as i do when i do not like the content, by the way you have brought this thread back to the top of the board, no one else sir, you. liz

Honesty

I started a thread which invited suggestions to improve the breed and it ranged from improving the breed survey, setting a maximum limit for hipscores prior to breeding. It got for more suggestions than this, and ended up with a 2 tier registration system to being designed and put forward to the breed council.

This thread went on so long that infact we had to start another thread as the first one struggled to open due to the weight of comments.  We went further and looked at introduction of working trials into the survey.  We have been waiting for the meeting with the KC before commencing the thread.  During this thread VIDEX was extremely helpful and kindly put the suggestions together in one comprehensive document.

For a while he, myself and missbeeb worked very well together, but he has both before and since been aggressive to myself (but he has never met me) and continues to attack people who have annoymous names on this forum.  I have told him repeatedly that being more open wouldnt help him as I dont breed and certainly wouldnt have crossed his radar in any shape or form despite having owned GSDs since the age of 8 and having shown intermittently for more than 12 years.

It is this aggressive side that has caused people like MISSBEEB to stand up and make herself known on this and other threads.

Going back to your suggestion re the pulling on collars - many people are trying to get "off lead gaiting" introduced and this shows the dogs natural movement with no artificial affect on it by the handler.  Taking it further I would like to see the amount of outside attraction at shows reduced (keep it at the british sieger) and this will help with our public image as I am fed up with being lumped in with "those aggressive, loud, pushy GSD owners that go to shows".  I think the removal of outside attraction will tone down the amount of excessive drive and this has been highlighted at some shows where the judge has requested silence from the owners so that the dogs perform more naturally.

Beepy

Thankyou for your reply, however in my opinion we should never have a two-tier system, each breed has a blue print and that blue print should be adhered to throughout the world.

We have a system recognised by the Breed Council, BAGSD, and GSDL that includes many testing facilities such as HIP SCORING, HEAOMPELIA, ELBOWS and many more, the Kennel Club should be working with us and again in my opinion the Kennel Club should not register any litter unless the following has bee adhered to - both the sire and dam have been tested for IDENTIFICATIN (MICROCHIP/TATOO) HIP SCORED, ELBOW TESTED, EYE TESTED, CHARACTER TESTED, in males HEAMOPHILEA.

Maybe this is utopia, however it is a start and the Kennel Club need to understand the GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG enthusiast are ahead of the problems currently facing the kennel Club as recognised on the recent Pedigree Exposed program.

We can sit back and argue amongst ourselves or unite and combat the problems the Kennel Club and we are currently facing.

This has never been a witch hunt. What people are trying to do here is to try and discuss issues in the UK on this board without being subject to personal abuse, receiving abusive personal messages or having their posts or threads deleted. And it seems to be a UK problem. It does not affect other threads. It is clear to all who have followed these various threads who has been responsible for that. That is not a witch hunt.

As taz has said, this has been going in for a very long time and he pointed to this example http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/user_comments/401825.html Others can point to countless others.

I don’t breed dogs, I don’t show dogs and I have never met or personally spoken to David Payne. All that Beepy, Funky Munky, Missbeeb and others are trying to do is to get a level playing field on this board where discussion can take place freely without bullying, intimidation or unfair deletions.
