578. Rattler.—Mr. Fletcher's, Stone Clough, near Manchester; breeder, Mr. Turner; born 1871; colour, white with tan on head (once owned by Mr. Terry).
Pedigree: By W. Hulse's Fox out of Turner's Fan; Fox by Trimmer II. by Old Trimmer (No. 606); Fan by Underwood's Spot out of Cowlisher's Dutch (not by Mr. Murchison's Lancer out of Twitch, as stated in some catalogues).
Chief Performances: Crystal Palace, 1st prize, 1873; Birmingham, 1st prize, 1873; Manchester Free Trade Hall, 1st prize, 1873; Manchester, Belle Vue, 1st prize, 1873; Edinburgh Champion prize, 1873 (and other prizes at local shows).
