It is amazing how very little information the internet has about Sieger Show ring dimensions and inner/outer height requirements.
For those that show their GSD in Sieger Show's around the world, what is your experience with the Sieger Show ring? Is there a standard inner and outer height requirement? If so, what is it? Is there a preference to using rope vs. caution tape as a parameter?
Any feedback on these questions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance.

I have been to 15 Sieger Shows in Germany, 3 in Austria and about a dozen in the US. As far as I can tell, size of the ring depends on where the show is being held. In Germany, it has always, at least for the last 25 years been in a football stadium, Nurnberg, Kassel, Karlsruhe, Dusseldorf, Aachen, Braunscheig have been the main ones. Half the stadium is used for the males, the other half for the females. Enough for the first ring dogs, usually the top 50. In the US the sieger shows are sometimes in a stadium but other times not. For example, this years sieger show and several others in the past were held on open parkland type fields. Ring sizes vary and are generally considerably smaller than in Germany. The same goes for Austria. But remember, the German show is many times bigger than these other shows.
As for ropes for the borders, lately plastic tape is used on stakes that are a few inches off the ground. I have seen rope used. There appears to be no height regulation. In the US, there is often a second double handler or spectator barrier a few feet in height. In Germany, double handlers are not allowed to get close to the ring and spectators must remain in the stadium seats.
