A quick mention to fellow dog lovers who believe there dog is covered by kennel cough vaccine .
Today my young male gsd is exhibiting signs of kennel cough and although it isn't due till October it appears his caught a dose😕.so called vets they are closed will call tomorrow but just did some Google searching and well ! I thought both my two sheps were covered but it seems they are quite vulnerable like most dogs .please read the website for in depth info on the vaccines as I'm just tipping the point here .
But a bit like human flu colds a dog will recover without too much I'll harm but its more the contagious side of kennel cough is the big deal but from what I've read the vaccine can fester in the dogs genes for years and the nasal vaccine is the safer out the two types so neither cover the whole spectrum of viruses .the injection has some unpleasantly added chemicals too from what I've seen so I just thought id add one last comment and that any dog who has freshly had its kc vaccine will put the virus out in its environment up to 7 weeks after immunization has taken place. I believe my boy has picked it up from our local green space we go who we have seen police frequent there with there dogs who probably left there freshly kc urine on the ground for our boy to sniff. I never knew last year both my dogs could affect another innocent dog because they just had there kc vaccines .blimey you learn somthing new every day .
Good luck all. 🐾🐾🐾🐾
