How soon after the first litter should one wait before a Labrador has a second litter? Is a second litter in 12 months unacceptable?

Back to back litters aren't taboo.
This is assuming female is fed a good diet and is fit and in good health.
I have done back to back, but not 3 times in a row. JMO.

Lots of things depend on the dog: her condition; AGE; was she an easy whelper last time or did she have to have an emergency C-section? So see, it depends and all bitches are different. I do think you could safely wait a year between litters, but that is my opinion only and it really depends on her. Nan
