any one got any breeds that herd? Any breed will do. I work my own gsd on livestock, not the tending style with huge flocks standing in a bunch grazing. Goats present a challenge to work my gsd on but provided proof of sound nerves and biddability. I believe the gsd is being watered down with 'herding instinct' titles and tending titles...those things are set up so the dogs are not challeged and a weak nerved dog can pass easily..
For the benefit of the reader, this post has been completely changed from the original. The original post by the member was photo's of 4/5 sheep purchased for the members pups to play with. The thread was moved from the GSD forum to here and the OP was angry about this, as the thread was not going her way and she could not dictate what was posted she proceeded to try and derail this thread with her usual nonsense She was given warnings but eventually action had to be taken, glad to see the thread carried on as it should and thank you to the members contributing. mrdarcy (mod)

Winnie on left, just saw the sheep, been smelling them on the way to the field. Wassa and sheep meet, above.
Again for the benefit of the reader...This post was edited by OP to remove photos of her newly purchased sheep and her dog for reasons posted by me in her first comment. mrdarcy (mod)

and sheep see each other
This post too has been edited by the OP, the photos of her 4/5 newly purchased sheep have been removed for the reasons I posted in the first comment above.
Hope this clears up any confusion for the readers of this thread. mrdarcy (mod)

Would have been fun posting pictures:-)
More edits, please see my comments above. Can't believe how immature this member has been because she could not dictate how, who or what was posted to this thread.

Bubba, the sheep are so easy...been here one day, already they know to go inside the pen. Locked them up for the night and they just walked right in. Goats...I would have still been down there trying to get them to go in...soon as a couple would have walked in, before any others could get in, the first ones would have escaped..aggravating.

Hope members post vids of their dogs, Collies, Corgis, GSD any breed will do, love watching herding dogs at work. Old Uncle of mine had a Corgi who could compete with the Borders any day, size did not come into it. Little bruiser, back then nobody made videos, shame really as he was a sight to see.
