Dear Vk4, the problem here is not walking on water but why this person in your link was trying to walk on water. You see Vk4, per say if the pastor was running away from danger and was surrounded by water, God will intervene. But to get up and tell the congregation that I want to walk on water because Jesus did it, its shear PRIDE and satan-driven. God can never be part of it....You see vk4 it is very clear thing that the power of God can not be use in a selfish way. God did not gave us his power to tempt him but to draw men into his kingdom. In Matthew 4:6-7, when satan told Jesus that if thou be the son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, he shall give his angels concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. But Jesus replied and said, thou shall not tempt the lord thou God. So we should not use the power of God for our selfish interest. Someone will say am gonna walk on the sea because Jesus walked on the sea. The lord did not walk on the sea for selfish interest but for a very good purpose which Bible talks about very clearly. You see my dear Vk4 and you already know that I believe in the Bible. Bible does not encourage people to walk on water or walk into a den full of lions but to preach the word of God, to preach the good news of salvation. But people like this pastor in your link my dear vk4 was idiot. Even Daniel would not have dared walk into a den full of lions intentionally just to establish his faith in the one true God unless he was forced to or thrown there. My conclusion vk4 as always your intentions finding fault in Christianity just like your dark lord to whom you serve.

The God of the Bible is not a genie that does what we deem right and appropriate. The point being made by Shtal can be summed up in, " do not tempt the Lord your God",,, it's spot on and the pastor got what he deserved,,, lol,,, :)

Apparently he didn't help the people who were taken slaves, cannibalized, raped, murdered, robed etc. by the Native American Indians either. And I only touched on a few of their adventures.

And, yes indeed they took slaves and were invloved in cannibalism.

God isn't a genie? lol.

My point is, no matter what danger God isn't going to help, no matter what. Answer me one question. How can you as a Christian justify the timeline.  Ruger the first man wasn't a Christian because he predated Christianity by tens of thousands of years. Shtal how old is the universe?

ruger you have a real contradiction as far as scripture goes, anyway the results of such extreme acts of faith are indistinguishable from no god being present, the results follow the same pattern, so why imply a god who is invisible and acts like it does not ecists at all.

 

speaking in tongues does not count, even i can fake that, hard to fake walking on water.
