Any thoughts, ideas, likes or dislikes about this male or what he,s been producing up to this point in time ?

I know a guy who did 2-3 breeding on him. Some of the pups are in KNPV I think. They look good so far, lots of prey and some fight there too. Also they are all black..lol.

Was that a litter born bred in Europe,do you recall the female he used for the line breeding ? I know that Pike carries the recessive gene to produce black.

Hey Haz,
If you're referring to me, the linebreeding I did was on Pike v. d. Shafbachmuhle (3-4).
I own a 2-3 Pike v. d. Shafbachmuhle linebred male (but not from my litter).
You sent me a PM on another forum a couple of days ago...lol
Regards

Bundishep.....Please keep in mind that my perspective is only based on what I've seen personally and he must be producing some nice dogs because he's had a ton of breedings in Europe.
I have seen (2) Pike del Lupo Nero son's (around 2 years old) come through our club. Both were being evaluated for high level sport. Neither dog was selected. One went to Dual K9 training and the other is going to do club level sport (I think). Both dogs very handsome and handler oriented. Both dogs (from what I saw) had solid nerves. One dog showed some dog aggression issues which is currently being handled by his K9 handler. The club dog is a sable with nice pigment and a plush stock coat. He has a HUGE white marking on his chest. The other is a bi-color with a nice plush stock coat. Both dogs on the larger side. Both dogs did not bark very well in the blind and the sable is a bit of a screamer.
Before I had the opportunity to see some of his offspring I was excited about him........now not so much.
Believe it or not the Drago babies (all under 2) in our club are showing more promise.

I love my Pike del Lupo Nero daughter. Sold sold nerves, smart, plenty of drive, naturally civil but over all social. No dog or people aggression, but can turn on the aggression during bite work. I enjoy doing both sport work and PP work with her. She excels at both. Excellent hunt. Only down side is that she wants to work all day. When inside, she's either in an exercise pen or in a down stay at my feet; otherwise, she'd be pacing.
And I thinks she's quite pretty

clc29, dont give up hope on what Pike produces, good to hear about at least a few of them, out of the ones that are in the USA my personal favorite is a solid black female in Tenn, I really like the vid that i saw of her and I will see her in person within a week and geta for a better feeling for what shes all about its been said that she hits the sleeve like the power of a male,,,,,,,not sure if Drago or Pike is the better of the 2 Studs,I would think it depends mostly on whos getting the highest quality females paired up with each, thanks to all for the feedback given.
