I've been using bleach for years now, but am interested in a deodorizer for my kennels. They are 3/4 cement, with cedar chips on the other 1/4. This is where the dogs use the bathroom when in the kennel. Interested in what you guys use to clean and make your kennels "smell better"...any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have one word for you.........ODOBAN......works great, smells good and it's not expensive .

Also, there is a product that I used to use in my horse stalls for urine smell......I can't remember the name but it came in a granular form and it worked great at cutting that smell out. You could sprinkle some of that stuff underneath your cedar shavings. I have some left, in the morning I'll go out to the barn and check the name.

hey...thank you!! ODOBAN sounds great...I take it I can put this in my gallon sprayer and shoot the kennel?

Sure. I've never had to do that because my kennels together measure only 12' x 16' and I buy the 32 oz size hand spray. I also used simple green to clean the stalls/kennels.Simple Green works great (also as a fly deterrent) as a cleaner and is biodegradable. Only draw back is it does not disinfect.

Odoban is good and the price is good. If you want something really good, yes it cost more, but this is great stuff called KOE it can make a skunk hole smell good.

That stuff was awesome for cutting urine smell. I had two mares that always peed in the same spot...uhg.
