Hello,

I have lurked here for a long time and have very little knowledge compared to most here, therefore I have never posted as I have little of value to add.

I have raised and titled my forst IPO3 dog who is very independant, strong willed, and powerful.

I am at the point where I am ready for my second working dog.

Can those of you with experience give your feedback on this possible breeding?

https://www.pedigreedatabase.com/breeding.result?father=2228096&mother=602921

The qualities I'm looking for are strong willed, intelligent, dominant, with high drive and an eagerness to work.

The male is slightly large weighing in at 98 pounds so I am thinking of breeding to a smaller female.

Your feedback is appreciated.

You know more than you think!  You've already titled a dog (HOT) I assume.  Congratulations on that.

I think the breeding looks good.  I like the bitches bloodlines quite a bit and your male is no slouch either.

Several good tail lines in the pedigrees of both dogs with a nice line breed to Fado.

Have you talked to Melody Greba (breeder of the sire of the bitch you are looking at) and Wayne Curry?  I think both of them would be a good resource to talk to on this breeding, but I like it.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

My IPO3 is hot, I;ve hand him since 8 weeks old. mklevin.

I would have never have thought to contact the breeder of the sire of the bitch. Thanks for the tip and your opinion,

Melody knows her stuff.  She is located in texas and you can find her info easy enough on a web search.

A pedigree helps to give an idea of what might be expected in a litter, but there's a variance between each puppy in a litter. A good breeder will have a good idea which puppy is best for each buyer. I'd suggest that once you decide on a litter, you leave the matchmaking up to the one who knows each puppy the best.

Sitasmom,

I could be mistaken, but as the OP owns the stud in the listed mating, I believe they are asking for opinions on the proposed breeding.

itisdieter,

NICE dog you have there! I love his look & his pedigree.

You are spot on with your comment northwoodsGSD, I'm seeking opinions on the propesed breeding. I have trained and trialed with the bitch, and like her work.

My knowledge of pedigrees is very limited and am seeking opinions from those who know.

Thank you for the compliment on  my mutt.  :)
