by Aanica on 27 September 2014 - 17:09

i love him thou but i feel his ears are bigger than normal?is it so?

Stock coat, it isn't unusual for their ears to look big at this age, they usually grow up into them and ears get in proper proportion to the body.

Like Ibrahim says;  standard coated.  Pups with a stock coat won't get a very heavily furred tail,

that only comes with being a longcoat.  Can't see from the photo what his tail is like at the moment.

Doubt its all that 'ratty' unless he chewed it ?  Ears do seem a little large, but this may balance out

as he grows up.  Love the tie !

That´s a cute one.   He´ll grow into his ears, and the tails of stock coated dogs often look "rat like" as youngsters. He´ll change soon...

@ Hundmutter, not all long coats have bushy tails! My younger long coat girl has the puniest tail I have ever seen on a GSD! She has a beautiful head and body, but her tail looks like it was tacked on as an afterthought; I can't imagine where she got it from as her parents both have very bushy tails.

Cute puppy, Aanica!

Where did I say "Longcoats all have bushy tails"  ?

You have to admit, NM, that in general they do have lovely plumes, not withstanding that your young bitch is

less well endowed !

We are discussing a pup everyone so far has judged to be stock-coated, and how its tail may turn out.

It is rare [I'd suggest even rarer than your example of a longcoat without a fluffy tail Regular Smile]  to see a 'fluffy'

tail on a standard coated dog.
