i think that legs were pulled too close ...but what about the depth of the socket an the position of the head?
will it improve in the future?
I will give glukosamine chondroitin and vitamin C
thank you very much for your answer.

The knees are not on the xray, so there is no way to tell if the heads are as deeply seated in the sockets as they could be. Legs can't be "pulled too close" if the knees are placed right. When you have this dog xrayed again for SV or OFA certification, make sure the knees are included and that the legs are rotated inwardly so each cap is superimposed over the center of each knee. Also made sure the dog is sedated to the point of relaxation if you want a true picture of his hip status. As I've said, the xray looks normal for breed and age to me, but I don't think GSD's should ever be permanently certified before 24 months.

PS: My current vet told me NOT to use supplement like glucosamine/condrontin until after 1 year old, said that was the latest research on that stuff (SP) incorrect but you know what I mean I am sure. Have not researched this myself but do trust this vet. So just a word from the wise. Good luck Nan

Personally,i think tha the bitch is at all ,not in the best position. My concern is at most for the left hip(right when you see the picture)

Nice symetrical muscle mass in both thigh muscles. That's encouraging.
