Hey all!
Last week I posted an x-ray that had horrible positioning. Here is the retake done today using sedation. Can you please post your opinions?
Thanks!!!!

Very nice xray, the positioning couldn't be much better. Good to excellent with this one. It looks like you're getting a new dog.
Sedation is so important. I wish the OFA would require it rather than suggest it, but that's the way everything is done in the US. Can't require it, if the dog happens to react negatively to the drug, you're getting sued. The SV now requires it I think. Kudos to them for doing the right thing.

Personally I'd say Good, and personally I'd not buy a dog of that age thats not already been OFAed or A stamped, its a big gamble! Let us know how they score.

Thought I would let you all know that I received the results from the OFA and he scored EXCELLENT hips and normal elbows. I am beyond thrilled.

Had you sbmitted that first xray, he probably would have received a borderline. It really pays to sedate and make sure the positioning is symetrical. Not surprised to see he was rated excellent. Congratulations!!
