Female results not complete yet. Looks like a 3 way tie for first in the males in overall points, I unofficially have 3 dogs with 8 points. Zambo is one of the three.

Randy, was just watching an obedience routine posted online for Chloe v. Bullinger. In that video, she looks to have no saddle, or any black on her anywhere except for her mask. However, her picture on Working Dogs show her to be a saddle back black and tan.

What happened? Did her saddle fade out as she got older?

I'm curious to know, because one of my females had that happen to her.

Congrats to Sita's Mom!  :D

Randy, how are the placings determined?  I don't know how the trial results are factored into the show results.

Official scores..........

Contratulations to Team USA.
I'm so proud of what Erin, Jeff and T-Floyd have done with Elle!
Looks like she had a bad weekend. When her protection score was not high enough, they of course stripped her show result... in such an event, this makes sense to me.

USA had 3 dogs placing in the event.......
Zambo #3 in Males
Chloe #3 in Females
Gipsy #8 in Females

Team Zambo had at least 2 progeny at the event.......IMO that is remarkable.

Are these dogs all showlines or are there worklines too? What great accomplishments. I love it when GSD's get the opportunity to show their versatility.

by SitasMom on 22 June 2014 - 17:06

They are both......some are show lines AND working are lines.

The competition is designed to increas working ability in show lines and to increase the beauty of working lines.
To pick out the best dogs that exhibit the best of both worlds.........working ability and adhearance to the FCI breed conformation standard.

(yes, i know I'm going to get a bit if flack - lol)

placings are determined by order of finish.........first place in trial and first place in show gets 2 points, the dog with the lowest points wins... if there's a tie, first place goes to the dog with the best protection score.

Example........
if a dog gets 6th place in the tiral and 1st place in the show, it recieves 7 points
if a dog gets 3rd place in the tiral and 5th place in the show, it recieves 8 points.
if a dog gets 4th place in the trial and 4th place in the show, it recieves 8 points.....
and the secone place would be determined by the highest protection score.
