Several days ago a Montgomery County Animal Control Officer was dispatched to 16494 Pices in the Cut and Shoot area. A complaint had been received stating there were several neglected animals on the site.

The person filing the complaint told the Animal Control Officer that a short time back her rescue had transported a mother dog and 13 pups to Rebel Rescue owned by Jessica Grilott at the home on Pices. A short time later the pups started dying and the rescue who had dropped them off retrieved the the mother and living pups in an effort to take them to another rescue. The person filing the complaint was concerned for the remaining dogs.

The Animal Control Officer was not able to locate anyone at the address but did see at least 3 dogs inside the home. She also noted the overgrown yard and the large amount of trash outside. With the doors and windows closed the officer was still able to smell the odor from inside the home. She noted there were flies on the inside of the windows. Noting power and utilities connected to the home he left a notice.

The officer returned to the location Tuesday, June 10 and noted that someone appeared to be inside the home as she was able to hear the sound of hammers, however she was not able to get anyone to answer the door.

If you notice, the way in which this raid happened was correct by the book....
Only wish all were like this.
Yes, poor animals..........they were SUPPOSED to have been rescued.
