Got him yesterday, 8 weeks old, full of energy, keep chasing me all around the house, his name Chase, got him fron Nadia Adams from www.ohertannen.com
Have a trainer coming in tomrrow, right now I'm striving for a good sleep 
, my 6 years old cat is locked up unstarirs in one of the bedroom as Chase chased him like crazy when he saw him! I hope the two can get friendly soon.
I'm so in love with this new little guy!

He's very cute!
My advice to you is to let the cat out soon and let them figure it out now. Your cat will put him in his place since he is still a pup and Chase will learn to respect the cat. Otherwise, Chase will grow an never interact with the cat and then you will have a bigger mess! Let them figure it out.

Having dogs and cats for years in the house I say this. A leash is your best friend, not only for you but the cat and the pup.
Not all cats stop and nail the pup, some will continue to hide/avoid pup and the pup will never learn. Have had pups get royally nailed by more than one cat didn't learn any real lesson except wait till he got older then go for them.
Put him on a leash and train safer and more reliable.
