Hi, I have 4 months old german shepherd puppy and it seems like he is theething, please see the pics and help me judge if his bite is gonna be normal or overshot. please note teeth are so small that if I close his month for pics his swollen gums of upper and lower jaw contacts and not the teeth... please provide your valuable input. thanks in advance.

Goodmorning Faizan

The pup is a little overshot now,but I believe he will be

okay  before he is a year old..

I remember years ago I had a young male that was overshot  as a puppy,

it really bothered me.   But at 9 months he had a perfect sisser bite.

Have a wonderful day,and dont worry.

Really not even worth trying to judge at this age.  Generally if the bite was OK before teething started, it will go back to being OK.  I'm assuming it was normal when you got the puppy?

As far as I remember it was a normal bite when he was 8 weeks but now I really cant judge any thing as theeth dont touch because of swelling in gums.

BINGO! Don't worry.  He's teething.  Your looking and worrying won't change/fix anything.  He's a puppy who's denition was fine before.  This is not the time to be looking, his gums are swollen his teeth are loosening up.  Check in a couple of months after his teeth are all in.

This can change one way or another. There is  no point to worry about it now or later for that matter.  Do not worry about things you can not change. After all ( I hope) you will love him no matter what, same as he will love you no matter what. Right?

BTW his teeth look normal to me at this time and considerint the age of the pup.

I was concerned because I wanted to show him. It will be great if someone can share same experience with pics....

Bite looks normal for the age Faizan. As someone said you dont have to worry about the things you cant change..

Enjoy your pup.

Guys actually I do have an option to exchange the pup but other pup is 3 months old whereas mine is 4 months and overall a better dog. I hope I will soon see the difference in his theething as I will not always have the option to exchange him. Also the other pup theething is not at this stage so both can not be compared. .
Thanks
