Let me preface this by saying, she was NOT sedated and NOT cooperative, but any guesses would be appreciated. Thank you!

How old? Best guess with a really bad film - normal.

3 years? I'll stick with my original guess, but, as you know, it's not a diagnostic quality xray. I doubt the SV or the OFA would accept it for a cert..

OFA doesn't care about quality but you should. They look OK, I have seen better but under the circumstances probably good, maaaaaaybe fair. Good luck Nan

I don't think the right hip will pass,
one of my dogs had a questionable right hip, the xray was down while awake,
he was 24 months and got borderline, then went back in 6 months and he got fair.
I think if she was 24 months than they would say borderline, but seeing she is three years old...I am noticing no arthritic change, so they would also take that into consideration.
Here is a picture of my dogs hips 1st xray borderline, second xray fair,....

If you present these poorly positioned x rays then: Borderline to mild HD. or Noch zugelassen ( at best) . JMO.

Redo the xrays...Fair at best probably only Borderline HD
GO to another vet,,IF vet let you think that was ok ...not good on his part..Most vets have no clue about OFA and how important the Xrays are...Find out from schutzhund trainers in your area who they use.

My vet is usually pretty good.. he has done the last several with passing results. Without sedation this was the best they could do. If they don't pass ofa due to positioning, I'll have them redone. If they pass they pass. Positioning aside, they are good, or at least fair hips imo.
Thanks for the input all!
