Q) if a dog has a SVV1/ZVV1, hip/elbow certs from FCI kennel club, tattoo on foreign pedigree but no BH can it still be entered in Working Class for your upcoming show?

A) Working titles are required for entry into the working class.  Working titles in all countries, however, are not the same.  Some countries award working titles with no requirement for protection/bite work; some do not require a BH.  (This is why it is important that we work on getting international respect and recognition for our WDA titles and let it be known that our titles have the same requirements as the SV.)

It is obvious from your fact pattern that the dog had earned a working degree from a country that does not require a BH.

Our Breed Show Rules (and NASS, now also WUSV Sieger Show Rules) only require a “working title” for dogs entered into the working class (with additional SchH2/IPO2 for attaining a VA).  So, so long as a dog has a working title, it may be entered into the event, regardless of the fact that the BH was not completed in the country in which the title was earned.

Q. I'm not a member of WDA, can I still enter, is there a non-member fee?

A. Yes, WDA events are open to everyone. No this event doesn't add non-member fees. Come, show your dog(s) and lets all have fun.

Question: If a dog has AKC hip and elbow certifications and a breed survey from USCA done by an SV judge. Can it get a V rating at your show?

by prodigy on 26 September 2013 - 22:09

What is required of the 6-9 month class males? We live in DFW Texas and might like to enter but want to be sure we are as prepared as possible. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dog1 - AKC doesn't certify hips and elbows, did you mean OFA hip and elbow certifications?
