Apparently, Nike reinstated Michael Vick's contract.  After reading some of Vick's comments about his actions, I am rather unhappy with Nike.  Nike owns the following: Cole Haan, Converse Inc., Hurley Internationall LLC, Nike Golf, and Umbro Ltd.  (at least according to Nike's offical website).  I for one will not be spending money for anything Nike until they dumb Vick.

Forget NIKE - the NFL signed him back up for a record earning contract

A few other sponsors came back while ago.

Guy is doing something positive & paid his debt to society.  If he was out getting in torouble you would say, "see, I told you he wouldn't change!!"  He does positive things and tries to stop kids from making same mistake he did and you still hear, "he's scum.  He will mess up sooner or later."   He can make money but not too much money or people will be pissed.  Guy can't get a 2nd chance in some peoples minds.

Time to move on.

Ace, I would be willing to give him a second chance, but he has made numerous comments that show a disturbing lack of understanding about what he has done.  He was an active participant for many years.  With all the media attention on dog figthing and the horrific suffering of the dogs, he still made the conscious decision to do it, and killed dogs with his own hands in pretty horrible ways.  If he did this to human beings, would you be as willing to give him a second chance and say he paid his debt to society and time to move on?  If he hadn't been stopped, what would his children have learned?

It's all about his permanent job, making 100 Million over 6 yrs and what money sponsors can get out of his performance and tv time. It's not about anything else.

What comments did he make that were so disturbing?  With all the media attention he gets, hell Im surprised I missed them.  The times where I caught a news report of him saying something it was always trying to deter kids from dog fighting.  Isn't he still a spokes person for ASPCA or PETA or soemthing?

Actually I find elected officials in our governemnt to be the absolute worse.  Their decisions affect my life and the lives of every other person in this country and they have blatently showed they don't giove a rats ass about anyone except themselves.  People in our governement are the biggest murderers, liars, cheats & crooks.  They continously do things that screw over people in this country and don't care as long as they get what they want.  Wall Street & the banking industry is another example.  Sad part is many just see it as the norm as it is expected and don't expect any better our of elected officials and the heads of corporations, people on wall street.

Shady...I agree.  if he was broke people would be happy.

BTW...$100 million dollar contract in which only $35.5 is guaranteed.  Then take out taxes.  Then take out money he still owe's due to bankruptcy. Yes its more than the average joe but not the $100 million that gets spouted on tv all the time.  He lives on about $200-250k a year.

No, it's not about the money, but we can agree to disagree

So "fighting dogs"  can change but not humans that fought them?  lol I am glad Vic got his pay day. Literally paid his debt to society as far as I am concerned that is in his past and hope it stays that way.
