Does this video clip show good police work or a police officer that has character disorder and loses control of his emotions, as indicated by his screaming and use of obscenities?  Was there probable cause for a crime that had been committed by the suspect?  Nope.  The only reason for the arrest was concocted after the stop yielded no drugs or other violations, and the charge was concocted of carrying a concealed weapon by a lawful permit holder who allegedly didn't tell the police officer about it immediately as required.  And yet as the video apears to show the police officer commanded the suspect to keep quiet when he tried to talk and show him his permit, thus preventing him from doing so.

In my city this police officer would be immediately fired and likely sued for interfereing one's Constitutional the right to associate with others.  He would probably be arrested for assault and making terroristic death threats (a felony in my state).  This video shows blatant abuse of police power by a "pumped up" police officer, either on roids or a power lifter or both perhaps?

There was no curfew or law that the suspect could not be where he was or could not stop there, or could not asociate with whom he wanted.  Many will view this video of evidence of police tyranny.  How many wrongful deaths are perpetrated by 'roided up or power weight lifter policemen who have too many hormones circulating in stressful situations? This kind of attitude can get police officers killed when the communuity turns against them and does many times.  It is foolish and unprofessional. And much of the stress that police officers must deal with (which cracks too many psychologically) comes from illegal govt covert operations to traffick in illegal drugs and guns which has helped turn American inner cities into urban war zones or gang ridden "jungles".

Is this nice ?...I think not...; (

What about videos of all the times officers put their lives on the line for ungrateful strangers...

I bet some officers wives would have a few choice things to say about people who constantly crap on our law enforcement, while they sit up nights hoping their husbands come home at night....

Yes, a few bad apples can do a lot of damage to any profession, but only the naive thinks this portarys all police officers.  According to researcher there is a bell type curve, with a small percentage of bad apples, a small percentage of heroic top performers, and most just average folks doing their jobs.  One police expert said there was the 80/10/10 rule, that 80% go along to get along, 10 percent are unsuitable or corrupt and ten percent are the super performers.  If this is true then 90% are doing their job properly and no more than 10% aren't.

And Ruger1, why not post some videos of police rescues or heroism.  We all know that these examples occur in every major city.

The point of my posting this video is the hypothesis that high govt crimes and corruption sets the stage for difficult urban situations which breed extreme criminal behavior and extreme police ressponses, sometimes which shift to pre-emptive unConstitutional invasions of rights.  This video actual shows a shift in poice procedure to charging up and pre-emptive, pre-crime charging instead of correct police work to arrest after a crime has been committed.  Pre-crime arrests and thought crimes defined as "hate crimes" are right out of George Orwell 1984 totalitarian playbook.

Preston, do you know how many doctors are sued a year for screwing up? Any time that you put a human in a position, you will find errors. Even computers have faults. Do you know how many people get pulled over in one day? In the whole USA, even if that number was a ridiculously low number like 100, what is the percentage of occurrences like this? Stories like this don't pop up everyday, so id say it is almost useless to talk about. Only people that have a hard-on for LEOs, posts this shit. I will laugh when the day comes that you or a family member is in need of LEO.

by Preston on 22 July 2011 - 02:07

Chaz, wrong.  I am not against LEOs.  I have helped a number of them over the years and am considered a friend of LEOs.  Also, I do not assume that all LEOs are like this one officer who was out of control, nor do I assume that most aren't doing theier jobs the way they are supposed to and I even stated that.  You apparently missed my whole point.  I am against police taking 'roids and pumping up and thumping and threatening folks.  I am against high govt corruption bringing in massive quantities of illegal narcotis and against the BATF and other alphabets trafficking and supplying weapons to the mehican cartels.  So I do not know where you get you information to back up your claims. Every major city police force has a number of thumpers.  Years ago I rode with some in training so I know.  I also have seen numerous of their MMPI profile too.   This stop violated basic human right guranateed by the Constitution and this trend for pre-crime arrests and harassment has been increasing and even tolerated by many large urban police depts. The creeping tyranny from DC via homeland security (the new American Gerstapo) helps produce police attitudes that cause this type of incident.

I am making the point that this out of control cop making terrorist death threats to the person he stopped is not only uillegal but has occurred in a complex environment of overstressed courts, overcrowded jails and prisons, single mom, poor nutrition, failing schools, massive unemploymemt, drug infested urban centers which often turn into jungles (urban war zones) at night.  And most of this is linked directly or indirectly to major govt corruption and a corrupt monetary system based on fiat debt-backed phoney money. Police and citizens are often just pawns in the system and the thumpers take charge and control, butit often catches up with them, thanks to the video recording systems on most police cars or now fixed to the police themselves.

And by the way the average LEO response in many cities is over 10 minutes, sometimes 20, so folks really need to protect themselves anyway. In some areas police are so thin, they no longer investigate home robberies or thefts with no violence. Some even just have folks submit the details by computer and that's all.

Only a couple of things....................Since I'm somewhat new here is this the same Preston that everyone had spoken highly of? And a while back were so happy to hear that he returned? (I guess to the PDB?)

And second, There's probably 50 - 100 points to mention (on behalf of the officers) in that video but it would take too long and the points would get sidetracked and then the whole fiasco would snowball downhill and all positive points would be lost.

But here are a few points to bite on;
Officer Safety is PARAMOUNT!
HISTORY of the area/location
HISTORY of the individuals involved. People LIE everyday right to our faces. (Without blinking an eye)
It would APPEAR John Q. Public was somewhere where he shouldn't have been. Doing or attempting to do something that he shouldn't be doing. Scared for that same reason(s) and totally forget what was PROPER PROCEDURES to advising an individual in the law enforcement capacity when and while carrying a CCWP.The list could go on and on.

NOTE! Since you are not a member of that Department or familiar with that beat/zone then you possibly are not aware of proper PC? I have worked high crime areas where the simple fact of LOITERING at a corner/area between the hours of ???? and ??? was PC to initiate action.

WALK IN THEIR SHOES............................................................................................................................

Massive police layoffs have made some police officers noticably tense and anxious for their jobs. Those laid off have trouble finding work.  Used to be that San Antonio and LA were always hiring. This has in some cases created more police with bad attitudes toward the public that pay their salaries. Some police are concerned they may not get their pensions. Pressures like this can affect overstressed, unstable officers and set them up for a bvlowuout like the one in the video above.

Police officers cannot gurantee anyones saftety but their own.  Courts have rejected any public liability many times and this is a well defined precedent.  Technically folks atre responsible for their own safety.  Thus the reason for the 2nd Amendment.

Don't even bother, it is just more blah blah blah.  I can assure you that Preston has no friends that are Police Officers.  It is quite possible the he has loaned his username and password to another fellow with much of the same views, Bill "uglydog".  They have a similar MO.  Some may have respected preston in the past with his knowledge of GSD structure.  I think that has changed.  I actually liked his old posts on structure and anatomy of GSD's, but always felt he knew nothing of drives, training and working ability.

Alboe, yes you are correct about context.  However, no crime was committed and the arrest was thin.  It was pre-crime roust and this is actually illegal. And you assume that I have not walked in their shoes, how can you be certain of that? What if I have many years ago, does that mean I can then criticize bad police training, hiring and management, but otherwise cannot?

Sadly the police officer blew out his career due to loss of control. He vocalized what he was feeling and thinking.  He threw a temper tantrum and really lost it.   Many stressed police feel these things without acting out. This happens too often and there are many complex factors that need to be considered.

Many police chiefs are now essentially taking orders from homeland security and have yielded jurisdiction with confidential agreements. Don't expect them to admit this publicly however.

Actually, I previously posted positive posts about police acts of heroism.  But of course that is ignored and I am considered "bad" for referencing this video.  I never said that all police are like this, in fact I have stated just the opposite.

To say that many police are now hypersensitive is a given.  Add to this concern for impending layoffs and large reductions or loss of pensions and it adds more pressure to an already hyper stressed situation in too many inner urban areas.

Many police chiefs are now essentially taking orders from homeland security and have yielded jurisdiction with confidential agreements. Don't expect them to admit this publicly however.

And just exactly how do you know this? What proof have you got to substantiate this asinine claim?

The damn federal government can't wipe it's own ass without a multi-committee, 20 year study, gazillion lawsuit, lost in the mail, printed in quadruplicate, done up on carbon paper resolution and you really think they've got the time, money or the manpower to nannysit a bunch of local cops and tell them how to do their jobs.

Where's my hip waders?
