Hello Everyone,

I have to rant.........

The arrogance and stupidity of people never ceases to amaze and anger me.

I am forced to breath thick smoke for days from the Wallow Fire in Arizona, not to mention the destruction and loss of wildlife all because some one was careless with their camp fire. Here's a look at that beast : http://nmfireinfo.wordpress.com/2011/06/29/wallow-fire-update-6102011-1030-am/

I stood at my dining room window on Sunday night and watched the orange glow and flames from the Las Conches fire in Los Alamos, now at over 93,000 acres since starting on Sunday. Cause still under investigation. http://www.inciweb.org/incident/2385/

We are in the worst drought in New Mexico's history and
.......Fireworks Sales tents are set up in parking lots all over Albuquerque.......What the hell !!
..............Stage III fire restrictions (No People Allowed) are in place in all of the Open space parks and National Forest Trail heads within the
city and they are still finding people on the trails........IMO....They deserve to have their cars towed from the parking lot and the fine
they will have to pay. Idiots!!!
....................Several wildfires are currently burning our forests down due to camp fires in stage II fire restricted (NO Open Flame) Forests.
Makes me sick to think about the loss of wildlife and plant life because of human arrogance and carelessness.
............................As I am driving down the road the A** H*** in the car in front of me flicks a cigarette out the window.sad
All I can say is.........it's a good thing that they do not allow heavy artillery to be attached to civilian vehicles.

Please people.........(especially if you are in a drought area)........think before you act.........because accident or arrogance your actions could change lives.

Hope everyone has a Safe and Happy Fourth of July,

Clc

I hate the 4th for the accidents, fires and noise it brings! A few yrs ago at our town lake, a girl had her leg impailed by fireworks and had to have it amputated. She was just one girl in a crowd of many, gathered in town to watch the show.

I was thrilled last year when I had my son on the 3rd and didn't hear a peep from my 3rd floor hospital bed on the 4th. Bugs me to no end that people start letting them off days before and after, well I should say...nights before and after. Hello not everyone is drunk or has the days off work.

I hear you guys. Our county is not only under a burn ban because of the drought but also 1 of 2 couties that have been declared a state of emergency because of the heat and the drought. My neighbor's husband works off somewhere and he is coming in tomorrow for the weekend and holiday. I asked her what they were going to do Monday and she told me about this place where people go and take their own fireworks and I told her well I don't know if they will allow that this year. Then she tells me how they are going to do fireworks at their house Mon pm. How stupid is that? Well they have a hose and she has been soaking the ground. All I can say is I hope the sherriff's dept. takes a cruise down this road cause I don't want my fence or anything else burnt down.  I know year before last we were under a burn ban and they wouldn't let us do fireworks at our church. We are out in the boonies and it's on tribal land. But you think people would have enough sense to KNOW it's a bad idea.............
