Well the prosecution should be finishing up tomorrow. What do you guys think. Has the prosecution done a good enough job to get a conviction out of a case that is based 100% on circumstantial evidence?
My thoughts are this... I think that she is guilty but I think that the defense is going to put just enough doubt in the prosecutions case. And I think that the fact that they have no idea what the cause of death of that poor baby is going to really come into play.
RIP caylee Anthony

I would say life without parole.
They have done a good job so far.
I hope that she gets on the stand. Prosecution will burn her!!!
That baby was in her way so she killed her.IMO

They said on the TV news, they proved the smell that indicates the presence of the dead body in the car, and that is pretty damning for Casey.
The heart sticker is just creepy. No matter how it happened, Casey is not taking any responsibility and that's what is worse when we think about this, and how to get justice for Caylee.

Yeah Bee I saw on Today this morning about the heart sticker and it just sickened me more than anything else so far. All kids are cute, but when I see the clip of that beautiful little girl with her book I just wonder how could anyone be so cruel? I mean if you have a child and don't want it, there are places--murder if definately NOT the answer...............

Not that I am happy about the Casey Anthony verdict, I do believe the defense did its job and introduced reasonable doubt as to the charges. Just because Casey Anthony did really reprehensible things after the death of her baby does not make her automatically guilty. You can't convict on personal character. Did Casey react the way the rest of us may have if our child died, no, does that make her automatically guilty, no. We may never know what really happened to Caylee, but hopefully someday, we may. This was a circumstantial evidence type of case, those are notoriously the hardest to prove. Even the forensic evidence was inconclusive. I believe the prosecutor rushed into the trial without taking the time this case needed to be fully investigated and then he over prosecuted for what evidence he had. I also believe that Casey's father may have quite a bit to do with Caylee's death. The judge did a good job of instructing the jury. We may not be happy with the verdict, but the jury did its job. Beyond a reasonable doubt is exactly that, if you have the slightest question about the FACTS of the case, then it is not guilty.

Complete and total epic fail of a verdict. For the jury not to take into account her history/character was a huge...*colossal* oversight. That puts a motive/intent in this saga. Her shady run-ins with the law, speak volumes that Casey is both sick and void of a conscience....enough to let her little girl's body rot in the trunk of her vehicle. Well, all I can say is, if she wasn't hated enough before the verdict, she is beyond hated now.

I'm sorry but for me, all I needed was her NOT reporting the baby missing. She is guilty of being a horrible parent, not caring and I'm sure enough that she had everything to do with this childs death. What parent goes 1 hour, let alone 1 month without freaking out when they can't find their 2 yr old? To go on as if nothing happened and life is normal...I wont even go there.

This was a difficult case because of all the lies told by the mom Casey and her parents which muddled the evidence. Kind of like Joran Van der Sloot in the Natalie Holloway disappearance.
Some folks are calling this the "white OJ case".
My take on what may have happened. Casey was a party girl and partied hard instead of being a devoted Mom. Allegedly she didn't want her child at first since the real father didbn't take responsibility and then died, and apparently she relied too much on her mom for parenting her child so she could party more at night with her friends. She either drank too much alcohol (likely) and/or took mind altering "party drugs"(or both) which can change a persons thinking and deaden ones conscience, especially if someone has a tendency to being sociopathic (which is possible in this case). There was no definitive proof presented that Casey was sexually abused by her father, but that was not ruled out either. It may ahve been floated out there to add confusion and innuendo by the defense. If she was abused it would help explain her desire to party hard and act out but this is not a necessary explanation either, just a possible factor.
Perhaps Casey started giving her daughter sleeping pills to make her sleep, and other concoctions and then hid her in the trunk of her car because her boyfriend wouldn't allow her to leave her unattended at his apt. or because they broke up because she got too wild with other men.
Perhaps the child od'd and/or suffocated while in the trunk and Casey came back to find her dead. Perhaps Casey went into a panic and decided to make things look like a kidnapping and murder. She remembered how her dad used to bury all the families dead pets and it occurred to her that this might be used to construct false leads awat from her and her parental negligence and neglect/abuse. She may have figured that placing duck tape over her dead childs mouth and wrapping her body and tossing her in the marsh would make her death appear as a kidnapping murder by a stranger. It appears that the bad odor in the trunk was either caused by driving around for a day or so with her child's body (confused as to what to do, in shock) or from garbage whe had in the trunk or both, or could have paced the garabge their as a false cover for the bodys odor from early decay. I think she told her defense attornies the truth who evaluated the existing laws and court precendents and counseled her to take the course she took. The case appears to indicate criminal negligence at a minimum, but the prosecution really didn't do a good job educating the jury or convincing them. And then of course there always is the possibility of premeduitated or second degree murder done in an angry outburst. Maybe her child kept crying and in an alcohol or drug induced state she duct-taped her mouth and tied her up and threw her in the trunk to shut her up. Certainly if an accident it was not a normal type accident abnd one which appears to have involved gross parental neglect, abuse or criminal assault. Some states view patrent abuse and neglect as serious as murder if the child dies during that abuse/neglect.
