I would like to start obedience training an adult male in my home 3 days a week but my female has territorial dominance issues. The pair I have now work well together I think because my male is very submissive. She is well socialized and excellent with other dogs outside of our home, at shows, obed. class, and is submissive to dominant dogs on their turf. I have had two fights when my family brought their dogs to my house, one was over a bone and the other a piece of food on the floor. Any suggestions? Is there a chance it could be different with another dog, or is it a lost cause.

Do you have crates? I board train dogs in my home all the time. The last thing I need is for my training dog to be bussies with my own dogs, the training dog needs to bond with you. I also would never bring a new dog into my home and expect everthing to be smooth ... and I wouldn't just stick them together either ... of course, there will be toy and food guarding issues and incident... unless you take measures to be sure that opportunities do not exist. It is all about being the leader of the pack and having control and good mangement...... BTW, I have 6 dog sthat live in the house.. 5 bitches, 1 male.....

I am so sorry for my awful typing!! Please forgive me!
I meant buddies not bussies (with my own dogs) .. I am just the worst typist and my mind gets way ahead of my hands and that just causes so much trouble... hope it wasn't too hard to understand!!
