Any opinions on what is the most palatable dry dog food? I have one female who is very pinicky eater.

Do you have a e-mail addr and I will let you know what I use with my working dogs and also with my kennel dogs...Where are you located...?

Chinito, I have found that Diamond, Nutro, Eukanuba, seem to be very well liked kibble. Good Luck.

I have a real picky male and the food that he really likes are Flint river ranch ( little pricey), Solid Gold and Innova EVO can

I've been reading the messageboard and it seems most people are saying that the Royal Canin is the most palatable dog food.

Chinito, the Royal Canin is a good food (I use it) and there are a lot of good foods available. Past a dog being able to easily digest it and be as "thrify" as possible (minimum stool) as long as the nutrient levels are correct then any premium food should be fine. FYI, I am considering a trial of Eagle Pack, to see how well it is tolerated by my gang. I know they can eat Bil-Jac without any problems; it's just nice that there is some variety available for a dog just in case the dog food supplier of choice suddenly has a major setback (i.e. Diamond) and your "favourite" food is unavailable for a while. My judgement for dog food roughly follows: Will the dog eat it? Is he enthusiastic about eating it? Does his health remain good or improve while eating it? How much poop does he make; and how does it look? I am sure that others can furnish more criteria. Bob-O

Spelling-"thrify" should have been "thrifty". Bob-O

Tnx Bob-O you've been such a great help. A friend of mine who is very successful in breeding GSDs in my country also told me those things you've just said. Currently I am using Eagle Pack to 3 of my dogs and the 4th and 5th one on ProPlan. So far the dogs that are on Eagle Pack have been okay and the other one on ProPlan but the other doesn't eat it that well so I am looking for another alternative. I'll try the Royal Canin and hope for a good result. Once again, Thank you!
