To those of you whom I respect and appreciate what you are and have done for the German Shepherd Breed, I beg your forgiveness to my response on the "Shiloh Shepherds" blog earlier today... I am not a mean and nasty person, However this type of thing wears thin on my limited patience for ignorance and I have had to clean up her messes and for that I am angry at her ! I am angry at her for continueing to "Develop" this line of dogs when it is clearly not working ! Both of these breeds of dogs are wonderful dogs in they're own and in the purebred state suffer less complications than what I have seen come from her "hybrid" crossings. Again I appologize but have had ENOUGH, Please forgive me and know that I truly respect the majority of the peoples who frequent this site and hope for your understanding. Thank You. Mitch

EchoMeadows, I agree with you but Tina should be the one to apologize to the dogs she has created who have suffered and for destroying a breed to adhere to a fad for her own whim. Everyone knows that these are not healthy animals including her and we have enough problems with the shepherds hips/temperament without setting out to produce on purpose this false of a breed. The "Gentle Giant" as she calls them you wonder what pain they must go through, you see them lay around a lot if you notice one it more than likely hurts them to stand long periods. I always tell New people when looking for a shepherd and ask me about the Shiloh I advise them against this dog do to the many health issues. The divide between american, showlines and working seem so small now when you think of this poor creature. The dog is innocent the founder is the quilty one.

EchoMeadows....sometimes it just wells up and a righteous indignation comes flying forth. I hope in some crevice of a heart, your words were heard. I doubt it, but you never know. Your indignation has merit. But thank goodness, people ARE becoming "aware" of "that" name and the horrors behind it. The educatonal aspect of each person that talks about the injustice, abuse and perversion and inhumanity of such a wonderful, loving animal IS being heard. And those that are speaking are not sitting back in silence which enables these abuses to continue. As so often is reiterated in so many arenas of discussion...education is a priceless tool. It is rarely about the animal but the people's actions and behaviors that surround the innocent animal. Just my two cents worth, geeze, maybe it is actually up to a dime, now. LOL

AlabamaK9, I couldn't agree with your excellent statement more. It always amazes me how someone can take a breed which already has its fair share of genetic fault management issues and then projects, extends and magnifies these problems to form an extreme form of genetic perversion which mocks every aspect of the well purposed, carefully planned working dog breed developed by Captain Von Stephanitz. The GSD breed was developed to to a finely honed, purposeful, goal oriented breed in every aspect (size, skeletal construction, coat, color and temperament) in order to fulfill these goals of be able to successfully acconmplish work in many aspects and produce offspring that reliably do the same. The esteemed Capt. Von Stephanitz left nothing to chance. Just because someone repeatedly spins a good sounding party-line to self-justify and rationalize this perversion of the GSD breed and over time has been able to make themselve a public figure, makes it not anything but what reality specifies it to actually be >>> a high order perversion of the beloved GSD breed without the work related functional characteristics Capt. Von Stephanitz designed the original GSD for. If you want a good companion without any real time, real world working ability get a small toy dog. The shelters are full of many with loving, loyal temperaments that are actually quite healthy, have good joints and make great friends and companions. This is my own personal opinion for what its worth.
