I'm trying to learn about the breed and different lines etc. I've noticed in some ads, breeders adverstising a dog for sale will sometimes state "no Ursus". Why exactly would that be an important factor to point out. Apologies if this is a silly question from a newbie! TIA

Hello CzechGSD. Please see the comments at this link: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/50679.html#50695
We had a similar discussion about the Ursus Batu a few days ago.

I should add that you should examine this link as well. This concerned further discussion about the limited genetic pool.
