Hello everybody i have a 9 month old german shepherd bitch from working lines. She was diagnosed with pano at 5 months old and she supposidly still has it. But i have it switches from one leg to another which i know is true, but my dogs has been the same leg for a while now. Can anyone suggest what to do..

Have you had her joints Xrayed yet? You can do Xrays to tell if there is still some Pano or if it's a joint issue. Your Vet should know what to look for on Pano, sadly though most don't know enough to rate hips and can only tell is something is seriously out of whack. If you don't see any signs of Pano, then submit the Xrays to OFA for a prelim. Better to be safe than sorry.

been through this with young dogs. often they will outgrow it in time.

I suggest you cut back on the pups protein level. You can add rice, pasta , oatmeal for bulk. I usually add veggies do they feel full. Time usually takes care of pano. Make sure you keep your pup thin and no heavy jumping on and off objects. Just my two cents worth Sarah

You had already posted the same question a week ago. Have you taken into consideration anything suggested then? If you do not act but keep asking questions the problem is not getting better. And if there is a problem, the earlier it is addressed the better. Take your puppy to the vet and then let us know what the results were.
