Hello- I have a daughter who will be attending Ohio State University in Columbus, OH this fall. She has two dogs one with a BH and another working towards one. I'm looking for a club in her area that she could work with. If anyone can give me names or contacts I would appreciate it. Thanks, Leo

Try Nancy Sutton at westwood kennels she will know someone good for you. www.westwoodkennels.com Beware of some clubs in that area though.

Check out http://germanshepherddog.com/clubs/mid_eastern.htm I train with O. G. Ohio Hundesport Club which is about 2 hours from Columbus, but there are a few around that area... Cant commend on any of the clubs down there because i havent been to any... But i would suggest her going to a few different ones, not just settling on the first one she goes too... Good luck Jessica GSDBrisko@aol.com

It's simple as this. Here is the link to Schutzhund USA club member list for the Ohio region. If you want to go the USA route here is the list of the clubs http://germanshepherddog.com/clubs/mid_eastern.htm You may also go to dvgamerica.com if you would prefer a DVG club Please be careful to some of the "so called" clubs that use verbage like "all of our members are USA or DVG members". You may want to find out if the club itself is a USA or DVG member club. If not, you will certainly have to go to a sanctioned club to obtain a title since the non-member clubs cannot hold sanctioned trials. Hope that helps Lorenzo

Leo: I would second what Lorenzo has written. Lorenzo's advice is sound. Prior to his post, you are already getting some unhealthy advice on who to look into calling. Good luck to your daughter!

I agree with Luz Czech: check out the USA website for the USA clubs in the area. Also, contact the Mid-East Regional director, Mark Scarberry, who may also be able to inform about new (affiliate) or forming clubs in the area. Nia
