Can anyone tell me how to tell if an 8 week old puppy will have a long coat?
Thanks in advance for any answers.

Hello
We have looked for how the hair on the paws and head react to beeing wet. The coat splits up and they get more wet that normal hair puppies. And take longer to get dry.
Often at 4-5 weeks you can see if they will be longhairs.
And the puppies often seem to get a Terrier look aroung the eyes.
Good luck detecting long haird.

the face often looks different as well, lots of longer hair on the cheeks, forehead, around the ears and in the ears.
