Crappy photo's (hate em) sometimes it would be better not to post any photo than a bad one.
Crappy Music, sounds bad and restarts every time you click on different pages...I always have to turn the sound off. Its so irritating I wonder why people put music on their sites

LOL see you all have "corks" about web pages.
up dates - That is a good one.
4 Pack and Xenon I found it is easier posting my videos on a picture/video host (ie Photo bucket) and give a link. This way I can contuue to look at the site while the film is loading. BuT I will click off a site in a heart beat if it takes forever to load.
ask me about my wiener/ Britany please play nice
OH GSDFAN you hit that on the head!!!!! I went to a site yesterday and lord and behold ROCKY THEME song eye of the tiger!!! on EVERY PAGE!!! I did not get to the third page to say the least (they could of had free V1 puppies on page 3 and I would of never knew)
now I admitt I have music on mine BUT it can be controlled and only last 30-60 seconds and goes to a video.
Photos are still my biggest pet pees I can not tell you how many times I have seen crappie photos of dogs for sale.
Anyone have pointers for taking good photos? I would say get down at the dogs level(specially puppies) -Too high up makes the head look huge and body small.

EkVon, Good photos... Take many many many shots of the same photo (if you can) subtle little differences in angles and positions will make the difference in the ones you choose, move around a bit while your snapping away. Use the light in different angles what you see in the lense may not look as good on the photo. all I can say is I have learned to take a full roll of film per dog using only a couple different positions. Not saying our photos are great but for amateurs we haven't done terribly bad. Also out of that full roll of film it is likely that only one or two photos will "make the cut" sometimes a full roll does not produce a single useable photo.

Links for videos are great, I mean how many people have a link for their pedigrees as well? Whatever works. I agree about the annoying music. If it keeps starting over on every page, thats bad. My all time favorite was, K9 Helsers "She's a bitch" on his females page. LOL. Usually music for the videos is ok. The trailing cursers don't bother me. Crazy colors and just too much anything, is kinda tacky.

I agree with you, unfortuently not a lot of people know about sites such as photobucket or One True Media (a great place for doing montage videos from still photos.) I host most of my pics on Photobucket and when I am designing a site I put the pics from the client there aswell, I then pass on the login and password and ask them to upload thier photos they want me to use on thier sites.
I used to do a lot with frames, but always had a bust-out if it was required. Those that dont bug me. I also agree about the music, and (to quote a BBC Radio 2 DJ) "is it me?" or do people seem to use the tinniest, tackiest versions of the songs? What happened to the good old tags and putting on a mp3 or mp4 version???
