Blackthorn's Warrior Princess, She is 8 months old is these pictures.

Blackthorn's Oda x Sumo Von Der Dewhaus

If you don't mind could you tell me what you think about her? She's perfect to me but i'm debating on trying her in Conformation.

Thank you!

It's really hard to tell what her structure is like when she's against such a dark background. Would it be possible for you to take a new picture, where she's against a light-coloured wall?

Is she a long coat? I can't be sure from those photos.

Not with these pictures. Sorry. They seem (could be just my computer...) to be somehow disproportionate. Either that, or the camera angle is deceptive. You need square shots- level with the dog. Like this- this is a 4.5 week pup of mine. He's just standing naturally, and I'm still shooting down on him a tad, but this is basically the minimum standard of position you need for a fair critique of what is no doubt a lovely dog.

Thanks, SS! I was just uploading these from this morning when I saw this post and figured a pic is worth 1000 words when it comes to "how to." It's an Aria/Boy pup. They were 4 weeks on Wed.

Thanks for answering guys. I'm going to try to take another picture of her stacked tomorrow against a lighter wall. Black dogs are so hard to photograph. That is an adorable pup Jenni! I love your facebook updates with the pups.

She is a long coat Sunsilver. :-) 5/9 of her litter were long coats.

Yes, you need good lighting to photograph them!  Maybe you should do it outside?

Here's my black girl, at 4 mo. old:

I'll try outside. Where I live the yard isn't very level. I may try it again on one of our trips to tractor supply or petsense. :-D  Gorgeous girl!

She's pretty, Stefafa14! I was intrigued by that litter; I didn't realize so many turned out coated.  You can put a table or bench outside and try it like that. Black dogs need to be photographed in full sun.
