Pharaoh

by Pharaoh on 31 May 2010 - 21:05

I did everything for Pharaoh's comfort.  I brought his toy basket full of antlers and toys.

I brought his super comfy bed ....

But, he likes my bed .....

especially the nice fluffy hotel pillows....

There are many exciting things around the grounds - they are called kitties - escpecially Sasha

You never know when you will find that special "Kitty Cuisine" around the corner ...

He just loves the innkeepers at the desk when we go to get quarters...

to feed the laundry machine with an exciting view window ...

They call me Chewbacca - I hope affectionately,

OOOOOPS!!!!

Clarification.  So many good, kind people here.  I am getting a bunch of PM's offering me a place to stay.

Yes, technically, homeless.

I sold my house in Marin and Daddy Warbucks bought it and wanted me out quick. So, I put all my stuff in storage and got a hotel room.

My new house is being built on "SF Bay Area Hippie" time. So, it is not done yet. Ugh!

So, no, I am not broke - thanks to Daddy Warbucks. If hippie dude doesn't get the house done soon, I have found another house with an even bigger lot 6/10 of an acre.

If all goes well, I will have a home just minutes from Kim of JustK9s.

I wrangled a hot deal on my hotel room that has a kitchenette and free WIFI and no extra charge for Pharaoh.  They also feed me breakfast every morning for free.  Any time of day I can wander over to the lobby and get free coffee, tea or Swiss Miss hot chocolate.

It also has a big desk so my income earning ability is not impaired.  Actually, I no longer have any chores so it is easy to get my work done.

Thanks for all the kindness, but we are really OK.  In fact, it is a welcome vacation.  I am sleeping like a baby.

I would have taken daddy warbucks money and gotten the hell out of dodge.

You can get a lot more for your buck in the midwest.

Yeah, but then you would have to live in the midwest!  I'm with you Pharaoh, nothing like the Pacific North West!

Stay away from the mid west...it sucks!!!  The West is the best! Glad you are doing well and Pharaoh is having an adventure. Love the pictures.

Pharaoh, if your still in the area have dinner at Guaymas in Tiburon and say Hi to my Daughter, She is one of the Mgr's there. I miss her horribly, When they go to colledge away from home it is a good thing (they grow up), however, they make all their contacts where they went to school and she now loves it up there, now calls So Cal >cement city.
How exciting for you, starting again.

1doggie2,

I sold my house in Marin, but, I am staying in Petaluma.  I have friends, a PO Box in Marin and that is where all my stuff is stored.  So, I am still back and forth.

Guaymas is a fabulous restaurant.  I just love the pumpkin seed chicken - yum, yum, yum.

Where I am going is about 1 1/2 hours further north and even less populated.  I am really looking forward to it.

For now, it's just relaxing.  No mortgage, homeowners insurance, earthquake insurance, cable/tv/internet, gas and electricity, water bill, garbage bill, etc endless expenses ad nauseum.  After the house closed I got  a $1,000.00 refund for earthquake insurance.  I do not know how I stayed on the treadmill for so long.

Now, all I have is my cell phone, car insurance and hotel bill.  The hotel bill is less than my mortgage and includes utilities, cable, internet and breakfast.  I don't even pay for coffee, which is available 24 hrs a day.

My next house will have no mortgage and I will be on flat land.  I am going to be living so much cheaper and in some respectss my income will stay the same.

Pharaoh wants to know what the hell happened to his big beautiful back yard.  He will be pleasantly surprised to find an even BIGGER back yard in his near future.  The fruit trees will take time.

I would love to get the heck outta here! I made mine (hubby) pay the house off a few years back. It is a real treat not to have that over your head in todays economy! I work 365 and approx 12 to 16 hour days. It is really begining to show, I am so tired! What I would give to just go play with my dogs! I have been hoping to get caught up a little so I can go up and see my daughter, she is living where my best childhood memories are, Kissed my first boy there at Reed school! so I have the draw of the memories and seeing daughter, she is working so many hours also, not sure how much time she would have for MOM! she was living in cotati, she just moved for a few months then she is going to try living in the city. I take it you are self employed also?

I lived in the PNW for 25 years.  Hate the weather.  Hate the huge population growth.
