He used to have Shafer Lake Kennels in Michigan.
Nine years ago I bought an awesome puppy from him out of his dog Orex vom Schwarzen Brink and an Alk Osterberg Quell bitch. My puppy, Wasko von der Lewis Haus Sch2, turned 9 years old today! He is still in great shape mentally and physically, in fact we plan on getting our Sch 3 this fall, (we got a little sidetracked a few years ago doing some other things!)
Anyway, I always thought of John as a straight forward, honest breeder who knew his pupplies well. He's no longer listed on the web, and I just wondered if anyone knew how he was doing.

Not long after Orex "left us" John stopped breeding......
Yes John was a good man and Orex was a super nice working line male that I also bred to twice.
As far as I know, he is not breeding anymore.

John no longer even owns a dog :( Not sure how that even happens.
I have a planed breeding that will be 2 - 5,5..on Orex vom Schwarzen Brink out of one of his finest sons - SG1 Bosko vom Harisburg SCHH3 IPO2 FH AD CGC TDI
My retired Sch1 bitch is also out of Orex. She is a jewel of a dog. Happy, healthy and full of life at 10!
I also had an Orex Son who was lost by tragedy way to early in life. He was the best dog I ever owned, my heart dog Alero.
