Sad news. Gottfried Dildei has passed away. Gottfried was an innovative and influential trainer, not to mention successful competitor at the highest levels of DVG competition. Joanne Plumb and Sheila Booth number among his many students. His videos, especially on obedience and protection are quite good. He could be abrasive to but as he aged, he mellowed.
Unlike many so called experts, who had enjoyed success, Gottfried remained open-minded and was not dogmatic, no pun intended, and willing to experiment and continued learning from the dogs he trained.
RIP Gottfried

Gottfried belonged to Schutzhund Club of Orlando for a long time...of which I was a member for over 25 years...He was influential with our Obedience...Protection and even Tracking in that order...
Gottfried could be brash but he could also be funny...
He will be missed in the Dog Training Circles...
RIP...

Him and my dad passed away with two days apart. 2020 sucks. The German Shepherd world has lost two if the greatest minds.
