The real reason for all these mass murders and home invasions, muggings and street crime is actually urban breakdown, generalized erosion of society, homes fractured by divorce or no father or mother, high level USG illegal drug trafficking into the US for off the books, black ops money for covert intel operations, and extreme USG and corp. corruption at all levels. This causes deterioration of cities, pulls vast sums of money out of the economy, dirties up almost all the politicians who take large campaign contributions and secret payoffs in offshore banks. The corrupt globalist oriented school system run by the dept of education has done a great deal to destroy the family in America and promote political correctness at all costs.
When the families are destroyed and rampant divorce sets in, morality is up for grabs and folks lose their moral compass. With the economy ruined by Nafta and the large offshore based corporations and banks who have asset stripped America, jobs are now very hard to get and good ones almost no longer available. Unless you work for the Feds which about 1 million folks do and get 100,000 USD average salaries plus massive retirement packages and benefits which the USG knows it can not provide when the system breaks down in the next few years as the Global Bond and Derivatives markets implode and the "chickens come home to roost".

These people are killing firefighters. Obviously they don't give a damn about the law.
So please explain how a gun control law is A) going to get them to surrender their guns, B) stop them from randomly killing people.
All more gun control is going to do is take away citizen's ability to protect themselves from people like this.
By the way they presently have thousands of gun laws on the books and they are not really enforcing them. President Obama is prosecuty 40% less than Bush did. WHY WHY WHY

My point was no matter WHAT is legislated people who are willing to kill others don't and won't follow the law.
So they are going to keep their guns and keep on killing anyone they want until caught.
Which leads us to another topic IMO.
The DEATH PENALTY!
My state doesn't have one, so cowards like Lanza, if still alive could't be executed.

In Canada, England, Australia even more severe gun controls have been enacted and their rates of violence doubled afterwards. Most states already have quite strict gun control laws in place with required background checks to weed out mental patients and felons and those with Driving While Intoxicated or drug offenses.
Any police detective in a large American city can tell you that illegal guns are easy to buy on the black market and always have been. This will never change for many reasons far too complex to delineate in a short post here. It's a known fact that most bodyguards for organized crime officials and drug lords even to this very day have been issued concealed carry permits even in Chicago, LA, DC and NYC where it is almost impossible for the average unconnected person to get one. In these cities permits are for sale or given as political favors to these "well connected" individuals.
Any gang task force police intel officer will tell you that the gangs have no problem buying high powered weapons including in some cases full auto military rifles and submachine guns like Uzis. Many of the deaths in LA have been due to gang turf wars and gang shoot-outs with these illegal weapons.
So after examining all the background issues, it should seem obvious that what we need is to enforce existing gun laws and promote the rule of law for our own central govt, which itself is operating in a lawless fashion. How can the USG expect it's citizens to obey the laws and rule of law when it violates the US Constitution and Bill of Rights at every turn in the road?
With the massive destruction of our economy due to the unrestricted bailouts and offshore corp asset stripping, there will be increasing urban breakdown, increased crimes and much more violence of all sorts. The most gun violent cities are those with the toughest gun laws and typically do not grant concealed carry permits accept as political favors or for campaign contributions. Chitown has the toughest gun laws and the most gun violence. Can you see the connection here? Well trained civilians who are armed reduce crime and violence and this has been proven in numerous studies. Don't believe this, check out Prof. John Lott's research.
